WATCH: Want to know which are the best airlines to fly with? Watch the video below to see the 2019 ranking of the best airlines in the world.
No one enjoys waiting at airports or enduring long flights in cramped economy seats, but flying with a sub-par airline can make the whole experience worse.
The annual Which? study analyses both long and short haul flights across the world to determine the best and worst airlines to fly with by surveying 6500 travellers. The airlines are graded against criteria such as boarding process, comfort of the seats, meal options, in-flight entertainment, value for money, seat pitch (size of the seating area, including legroom) and the punctuality of flights – and given a percentage rating.
Ryanair and British Airways were the absolute worst for short haul travel, Ryan Air winning the title of worst short haul airline for the sixth time in a row, and given the lowest score of 44%. British Airways received a 55% rating. American Airlines was ranked the worst for long haul flights receiving a 48% rating.
