Roll both the doona and cover like a burrito towards the bottom of the bed.

Unroll it. Voila! You are done.
How to put a doona cover on without rolling it
If rolling your doona seems too complicated, there’s another way to make the job a little bit easier.
- Lay your doona cover flat on your bed.
- Feed the left corner of your doobna up into the matching corner of the cover. Now do the same on the bottom corner.
- Repeat on the other side.
- Pick up the top corners of your doona, then give it a good shake.
- Fasten the cover.
How often should you wash your doona cover?
This one depends on if you’re using a top sheet or not. If you have a top sheet, you can get away without washing your doona cover for longer. But ideally, you want to wash it every 2 weeks.
How often should you wash your doona?
Similar to sheets and pillows, the doona can accumulate sweat, body oils, and dead cells. Over time, if it’s not cleaned properly; it can attract dust mites and bacteria. As a general rule of thumb, it’s recommended that doonas be washed every six months to a year.
