One of the most enjoyable ways of passing time on your daily commute, in the kitchen, or out in the yard are podcasts! They tell amazing stories, educate and entertain. If you’ve been looking for a new podcast, or want to get started, here are a few of our favourites.

Food and travel, need we say more? Hosts Julia Zaetta (Yes, our very our Better Homes and Gardens editor!) and travel industry veteran Ben Alcock visit a different destination in each episode, hitting tourist hotspots and hidden gems for your holiday inspiration – as well as the lowdown on the very best local food and wine.

 Scott and Forrest have been called the ‘Click and Clack of esoterica’ by their listeners. Their mission is to look at legendary strange and unusual events from throughout history and interview people who’ve had close encounters with the unexplained. An addictive listen, this series takes you on the true-crime journey of 20-year-old Penny Hill, who – after only three days of working as a nanny for rock star Col Baigent (former drummer for Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs) – was brutally bashed to death in 1991. Journalist Mary-Ann Harris speaks to those close to the case, as police continue to unravel the mystery of what really happened to Penny.
