Move over cheese on a stick. Sydney’s Royal Easter Show has revealed its food lineup for this year, and it’s anything but ordinary.
Traditionalists will be happy with classic carnival fare such as fairy floss, dagwood dogs and cheese on a stick, but those who are a little more adventurous can indulge in wild and wacky offerings including lasagne on a stick and a spaghetti bun burger.
Here are some of the more unusual options available this year at the show.
The flurrito
If you’ve just quit sugar you will want to give this one a wide berth. Ice-cream smothered in fruit loops and rainbow sprinkles is encased in a burrito made entirely from fairy floss. Not for the faint hearted.

Spaghetti Bun Burger
Bianco Kitchen at Graze has taken burgers to the next level with a Sicilian-inspired meatball on a crispy fried spaghetti bun. It comes topped with fresh parmesan cheese and basil.

Doughnut Pie
Is it a donut or pie? Encased in a pastry shell, this donut-shaped pie comes in sweet and savoury options including beef, bangers and mash, spinach and feta, dulce de leche and apple.
Macstick
Macaroni and cheese deep-fried in a golden crumb and offered on a stick – of course.

Coffee in a cone
A chocolate-lined waffle cone is the show’s new coffee cup. Get your camera ready for this one.

Cheesecake on a stick
Choose from three options including Ferrero-coated in warm Nutella; caramel crumble with Golden Gaytime crumb and thick caramel sauce; and white chocolate and wild berry with mixed berry sauce topped with white chocolate Tim Tams.

Lasagne on a stick
Food at the show is apparently best served on a stick, and lasagne is no exception. This artery-clogging spin on the traditional lasagne has it battered in a crumb, deep fried and popped on a stick for the ultimate indulgence.
