Dr Harry is travelling to Port Stephens to meet a marine conservationist who has turned his love of sharks and rays into an amazing business and education hub. Ryan Pereira and his wife, Lia, are the owners of Irukandji Shark and Ray Encounters, where visitors can get up close and personal with over 200 different species of marine animals, including sharks, dolphins, rays and sea turtles and more. Behind the scenes, Ryan has also started an amazing not-for-profit called Sea Shelter, which is dedicated to the research and rehabilitation of the local marine life. Join Dr Harry as he visits this amazing sanctuary and meets some of the many residents.
