On an unloved block of land, a Melbourne couple has created an award-winning ultra-sustainable home, called Hutt house. Squeezed between a narrow laneway and a busy railway line, this 250m sq triangular block posed many hurdles, not least of which was overcoming a fire just as it was being finished. But the Hütt House was always meant to be more than a family home. The vision was to create a prototype of an ultra-sustainable passive home that creates more energy than it uses. Join Johanna and Pete as they tour this innovative and award-winning home.
