Parents are naming their babies after Game of Thrones characters

Just because Game of Thrones is coming to an end, don’t think for a second we’ll see the back of Tyrion and Khaleesi. In fact, their names are coming to a labour ward near you with more parents in 2019 deciding to name their babies after Game of Thrones characters.

According to Babycenter, parents are looking to Dorne for inspiration, with Olenna up 71 per cent year on year, and Ellaria (Prince Oberyn Martell’s paramour) is up 53 per cent.

Meanwhile, Cersei received the thumbs down while Khaleesi, the Mother of Dragons, went up 7 per cent.

For boys, Jorah went up by 36 per cent and Tyrion went up by 20 per cent. Stark is up by 9 per cent  – the family name of siblings Jon, Bran, Arya, and Sansa.
