Strap on your skates.

The Sydney Fringe Festival is a culture and arts festival that takes over the city from September 1 to 30, and this year the festival is bringing something extra special to the program: a rooftop roller skating rink.

From September 5 to 30 the Fringe Festival will take over the open air rooftop of Broadway shopping centre in Sydney’s Ultimo, and transform it into a roller rink that’s open to the public.

The rink will be open Wednesdays through Friday from 5pm to 10pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am to 10pm, and entry tickets are only available at the rink. Weekend tickets will actually be the cheapest if you pick them up between 9am and 5pm, for $5 each. All other operating times cost $15 per person, with the rental of roller skates included.

There will be a DJ spinning skate-happy tunes every night, and there will be a pop-up shop alongside the rink selling one-off designs y Sydney designers Stavroula Adameits and Katie-Louise Nicol-Ford.
