Etching cream works by burninh a design into your glass, leaving behind a product that is dishwasher safe and food safe.
How to upcycle old glassware
Gather your supplies:
- smart stencil
- etching cream
- Cricut Maker 3
- glassware
- weeding too
- scraping tool
- gloves
Method:
Step. 1
Create your chess board design on the Space app.
Step. 2
Cut smart stencil to the size of your glassware and insert it into the Cricut Maker 3.
Step. 3
Using the weeding tool, remove any negative space from your stencil.
Step. 4
Apply transfer tape to the design. Apply it to your glassware. Use the scraping tool to remove any bubbles. Remove transfer tape.
Step. 5
Put gloves on. Apply etching cream with a brush. Leave for about 10 minutes.
Step. 6
After 10 minutes, rinse the etching cream off with warm water. Remove the stencil from the glassware.
