Kmart continues to impress with its latest offering – the Anko bladeless floor fan that savvy shoppers are dubbing a “Dyson dupe.”
The Anko bladeless floor fan was brought out in 2020, and its popularity is surging, particularly as parts of NSW endure a heatwave.
Depending on the Dyson model you’re after, they can go for up to $1000, while Kmart’s version sells for $99.

“Best fan I ever had”
Reviews on the Kmart website are overwhelmingly positive, with users praising its effectiveness. One satisfied reviewer says, “Best fan I ever had. A bit loud on full speed, but I only have it on full speed when I have a house full, so not a distraction, wrote on reviewer.
Another added: “Excellent fan! It’s a little noisy, but if you don’t mind white noise – it’s well worth it.
Social media echoes the sentiment, with a TikTok user raving about its features.
“I went to Kmart and got myself this cute little fan, and it was $99, and I don’t have a/c in my room,” she says.
“Needed something other than a normal spinning fan. It’s not bad when it comes to the noise, and I don’t mind it. It also has four fan functions on it. It’s got a timer, and you can rotate it. It has the LED light on, or you can turn it off.
“To be honest, it does a good job.”
Her followers were quick to comment, with some saying they had the same fan and were very happy with it.
“Dyson knockoff & it’s excellent for Kmart,” wrote one person.
Another added: “This is amazing. I grabbed one. It’s awesome … I got another today ❤️Thank you.”
Is the Kmart fan as good as a Dyson?
But is it as good as Dyson? Another commenter asked.
“I don’t even know what the Dyson one looks or feels like, so I can’t compare.”
In saying that, CHOICE has done their homework testing Kmart’s fans against Dyson and says that if you can’t afford a Dyson, a Kmart fan is “a great alternative.”
