Succulent mood lighting

Everyone loves a bit of mood lighting at a dinner party – why not pair your candles with some on-trend succulents? Try potting small succulents such as panda plant, hens-and-chicks or cacti in shallow trays or troughs of pebbles and get creative with your light placement.

Often clear glass flower vases can look ordinary and boring. To make your vase stand out from the rest, try placing slices of lemons (home grown of course!) around the inside of a vase and then fill with water and your favourite flowers.

Rosemary place settings

Add a simple sprig of rosemary on a crisp linen napkin at each place setting to give your dinner table a touch of elegance. This idea is lovely for cool weather to team with winter roasts. You could even swap rosemary for a sprig of lavender. It’s simple, but elegant, home grown and fragrant!

Microgreen and miniature basil pots

Give your guests a taste of the gardening experience. Grow small pots of vibrant microgreens or miniature basil and place them on the table in front of each guest – this way they can trim their own gourmet sprinkles for their dinner!

Want to try something a little different that is sure to wow your guests? Cut off the top of a pineapple, core out the insides and pop in your favourite flowers. This will add the perfect tropical vibe to your next dinner party.

Another trend that is becoming increasingly popular is popping small flower arrangements in waffle cones! Gather up a few clear glass vases or jars in which the waffle cone will sit perfectly and get arranging! Popular cut flower choices for these waffle cone vases include tulips, carnations, roses and gerberas.
