For most of us, Christmas is the happiest time of the year. But for those who are doing it tough, it can be difficult. This week, Johanna is meeting an amazing group of volunteers who want to lend a helping hand. The Addison Road Community Centre works all year long to help out those in need. And at Christmastime, the community centre turns into Santa’s workshop, with lots of volunteers there to pack festive hampers that will be delivered free to those who need them. It’s the brainchild of Lara Foster and her husband, human rights activist, 2002 Australian Father of the Year and former Socceroo, Craig Foster. This year, the team at Addi Road are hoping to break their record and get 2000 ‘Hampers of Hope’ packed and delivered in time for Christmas. Johanna is stopping by to help out and to find out more about this amazing program.
