Click-clack! It’s simple to make these wearable beauties, so why not whip up a few and gift them to friends?
Gather your supplies
Plastic knitting needles (3) (see Notes)
You’ll also need
Heatproof gloves; aluminium foil; drinking glass (size to suit your wrist)
1. We used 5.5, 6.5 and 7mm plastic knitting needles in a variety of colours.
2. Choose knitting needles with rounded tips for comfort.
Step 1 Adjust oven shelf to sit in centre of oven. Preheat oven to 100°C. Line an oven tray with aluminium foil. Put 1 knitting needle on prepared tray.
Step 2 Wearing heatproof gloves for the remainder of this project, put tray in oven. Keep a constant eye on the knitting needle, as it will start to bend quickly. When this happens, remove tray from oven immediately and set it on a heatproof surface.
Step 3 Pick up knitting needle and gently bend it around base of drinking glass. Work fast,
as needle will harden quickly.
Step 4 When needle has set, remove from drinking glass and set aside.
Step 5 Repeat Steps 1-4 to make 2 more bangles.
Tip If you aren’t happy with the shape of your bangle, simply put it back in the oven until it softens again, then reshape to suit.
