Johanna’s meeting some of the volunteers behind an amazing organisation that helps rural families in more ways than one. BlazeAid helps farming families who have been affected by bushfires and other natural disasters to rebuild fences on their properties that have been damaged or destroyed. But in the process, they end up rebuilding a lot more; lifting the spirits of Aussies who have truly had it tough. After this year’s devastating bushfires, BlazeAid has been busier than ever, so Johanna’s joining a BlazeAid camp in Wingham, on the mid-north coast of NSW, to find out more about his organisation and its life-changing work.
