Old timber chair with removable upholstered seat
Dulux 1 Step Acrylic Primer, Sealer & Undercoat
Dulux Aquanamel Semi Gloss in Sharp Blue (hard-wearing topcoat)
You’ll also need
Fine-grit sandpaper; sanding block; drop sheet; paintbrush; fabric scissors; staple gun and staples
Step 1 Remove seat from chair.
Step 2 Rub over frame using sandpaper wrapped around sanding block. Use folded piece of sandpaper to sand hard to reach places. Wipe away dust.
Step 3 Put chair on drop sheet. Using brush, paint chair with undercoat. Let dry.
Step 4 Coat chair in 2 coats of topcoat. Let dry after each coat.
Step 5 Place removed seat on fabric and cut enough fabric to cover seat and fold underneath.
Step 6 Starting at 1 side, attach fabric to underside of seat using staples. Pull taut and attach at other side. Fold neatly at corners. Attach at remaining 2 sides.
Step 7 Place seat back in chair.
