Love the classic black and white style? Go one step further and merge greys into the scheme, too. To achieve this look: choose furniture, picture frames and accessories in matte black finishes and keep your ceilings and main walls painted in fresh white. Introduce greys through your bedding and by painting the backing wall of niches in a shade to match (here, behind the bed). Space-saving tips: make the most of vertical wall niches by adding an even spread of handy, solid timber storage shelves. Plus, if you desire a mini work zone at home, also position a small desk and noteboard in your bedroom with a wall-mounted task lamp to suit. Just pull up a chair when it's time to work!
