Did you know Easter egg wrappers can actually be recycled?
Sharing this helpful piece of information on their Facebook page, The City of Bunbury says there's one thing consumers need to do before placing wrappers in the bin.
"Chocolate Easter eggs are typically wrapped in coloured foil and come in cardboard or plastic holders — all of which can be recycled across Australia," the post explains.
"Aluminium foil is one of the most recyclable of the products, as it saves the most energy if we do recycle it."
However, Easter egg wrappers are too small to be thrown in the bin on their own. Instead, the post says to collect all of your wrappers and scrunch them into a large ball before popping them into your recycling bin.
