Gather your supplies
• Nylon rope in colour of choice
• Soldering iron (we used Dremel Versatip)
• Plastic pot saucer or similar
• Double-sided tape
Step 1 Stick 4 lengths of double-sided tape across your saucer to divide it in 8 approximately even segments. This will hold rope in place while you fuse it together.
Step 2 Working in a well-ventilated area, start at centre of saucer and wind rope around itself, keeping it tightly coiled.
Step 3 Using soldering iron, melt rope to fuse.
Note Keep soldering iron moving, don’t overheat or burn rope and do not touch hot rope until it has cooled and set.
Continue fusing rope, working your way outward, until you reach desired size. Trim rope and melt end to prevent it from fraying
