The cutest Easter craft. - by Better Homes and Gardens

How to make carrot lolly bags

Make up a bunch of these fun cardboard carrot pouches to hold small choccie eggs and other little treats to take home.

Gather your supplies

  • Cardstock in orange and green
  • Scissors
  • Double-sided tape
  • Fine black marker
  • Easter treats

Here's how

Step 1

Step 1

Fold and cut a sheet of orange cardstock in half crosswise.

Step 2

Step 2

Apply double-sided tape to one long side and halfway across on short end.

Step 3

Step 3

Remove backing paper on tape and carefully fold card in half without creasing, sealing the sides and one short end.

Step 4

Step 4

Gently fold the open upper end of the tube in the opposite direction to the short sealed end, so the side edge is now in the centre of the top edge. Crease the corners.

Step 5

Step 5

Use scissors to trim the creased corners and upper edge into a rounded shape.

Step 6

Step 6

Fold and cut a sheet of green cardstock crosswise into 4 quarters. (Set 3 of the strips aside for remaining carrots.) Apply double-sided tape halfway along one long edge of remaining strip.

Step 7

Step 7

Remove backing paper, fold and crease strip in half and seal.

Step 8

Step 8

Apply double-sided tape to half of sealed edge, remove backing paper, fold in half again and seal.

step 9

Step 9

Using scissors, snip across folded rectangle towards sealed edge, creating lots of fine leafy fronds. Take care not to clip the whole way.

Step 10

Step 10

Apply a bit of double-sided tape to uncut end of leaves and secure inside one open edge of carrot.

Step 11

Step 11

Use a black marker to make a few 'wrinkle' marks on carrot, if desired, and fill carrot with treats. Seal top with a little more tape.
