These scarves can be hemmed by hand using hemming stitch, matching thread and a hand sewing needle. The wool can be hand stitched by stitching over the wool to hold in place.
Gather your supplies 1.8m x 60cm loose-weave linen fabric; matching thread; Moda Vera Narciso (100g): 1 ball Cream Mix or 18m in wool scraps of your choice; general sewing supplies
Step 1 To hem around linen, turn raw edges under 3mm twice and pin to hold in place. Stitch.
Step 2 About 10cm in from 1 long side, pin wool in place at 1 short side (see main picture, left). Continue to pin wool to linen, making a 10cm loop to the left, then the right every 6cm in a straight line, using picture as a guide.
Step 3 Hand stitch or machine stitch over wool, using the 3-step zigzag or multi-stitch zigzag if using a sewing machine.
Step 4 Repeat Steps 2-3 twice more to complete 3 evenly spaced lines.
