How to make a chalkboard platter
Chalkboard platter
Gather your supplies
• Timber serving board
• Dulux Duramax Magnetic Chalkboard spray paint
• Good quality painters tape
• Damp cloth
• Drop sheet or newspaper
Here’s how
Step 1 Cover areas of serving board not to be painted with painters tape. Wipe down exposed area of board with damp cloth to remove any dust and fingerprints.
Step 2 Spread out drop sheet or newspaper in a well-ventilated area, then place serving board on top.
Step 3 Apply 2–3 thin coats of spray paint. Let dry after each coat. Remove tape and discard.
Step 4 Write up the ingredients on your platter using white chalk. Serve ingredients in small bowls to prevent foods from marking the painted finish. Clean board with a damp cloth.
Psst… As the name suggests, Dulux Duramax Magnetic Chalkboard has magnetic properties which means it’s also ideal for applying to noticeboards and fun projects in kids’ play areas.
