Did you know dogs like eggs? Cats, too. So says Dr. Bruce Syme, a vet and pet nutritionist, who also says there are three ways to prepare eggs for your four-legged pals that will keep them looking and feeling super healthy.
1. Include eggshells in your pet’s food - they should be ground up and added to the cooked egg as this provides an additional source of calcium. And remember to feed them from a bowl they can access easily! Like this one on BHG Shop...
2. Hardboiled is the most foolproof and straightforward method for feeding eggs to your pet, since there is no need for extra non-stick ingredients (i.e., butter, oil, or margarine for scrambling).
Chances are they will wolf them down with such force, an anti-skid bowl might be worth investing in. We sell them on BHG Shop!
3. The cooked egg can be cut into heart chunks, or diced and mixed into the usual kibble.
