Australians love a barbecue and the upcoming long weekend will be no exception.
While throwing a snag on the barbie seems pretty self-explanatory, a new method making the rounds is making us question everything we know about cooking sausages.

According to the website, TheWhyChef.com, the best way to cook sausages is in a pan on low heat, with a knob of unsalted butter for 30 minutes.
"The higher the heat, the less the fat renders, the faster the skins burn, and the less likely you are to have a cooked centre before the outer edges start to get tough,” the website says.
