In our leafy suburbs, gutters clogged up with leaves are a common sight. The backed-up water can easily make its way into your home, while it also reduces the lifespan of your gutter as corrosion is more likely to start in an environment that’s constantly wet.
The before.
Here's how
Step 1
Step 1
Clear out the leaves from your gutters. Use a gutter scoop to keep your hands clean and away from the roof edges.
Step 2
Step 2
Hose out the gutter to get rid of debris and fine silt that will hold moisture, even without the leaves.
Step 3
Step 3
To stop leaves from clogging your gutter again, install a gutter screen to block them. There is a wide range available – just make sure your selection matches your gutter and roof type.
