Does your job make you feel fulfilled? Do you feel like a valued employee? Or is your job a means to an end, a way to pay the bills? Whatever role in your life your paid work takes, one thing is for certain: we spend a whole lot of time there, and new research has found that not all women are satisfied with their current jobs.
A British study conducted by OnePoll in September this year found that British women consider leaving their jobs up to 17 times a year. Commissioned by the Association of Accounting Technicians, the study surveyed 2000 fulltime and part-time employed adult women in the UK. The study found 34 per cent of the participants in the study had actually made the switch and changed careers. The study also found that one in five British women are currently thinking about undertaking training and changing careers.

Although this study only reflects the attitudes of British women, Australia seems to be suffering from a similar dissatisfaction when it comes to jobs.
According to a survey of 4800 Australian workers conducted by Survey Sampling International on behalf of Seek Learning, less than half of Australians are happy with their jobs. Another survey by Deloitte found that 58 per cent of millennials saw themselves leaving their current job within two years, are were found to be more pessimistic, disillusioned and unhappy compared to millennials in other countries.
So, if you don’t like your job, and you’re currently thinking about quitting or changing your career path, you aren’t alone. In fact, you - and the majority of all Australians - are having the same thought, right now.
