Worldskills Australia, affectionately known as the ‘Tradie Olympics’, is the biggest competition for apprentice tradespeople in the nation. With over 60 trades and 500 contenders, every vocation you can think of is there, from fixing cars, to cooking and nursing and everything in between. Having won a regional competition already, all the competitors at the Nationals are now vying for a trip to Paris to represent their country on the international stage. Join Johanna, Adam and Aimee as they tour the floor and speak to a handful of apprentices and judges to find out more. The level of skills on display is high, so it’s fair to say the future of trades in Australia is in good hands.
