Cover the backing of a bookcase with adhesive contact paper, fabric, wallpaper or scrapbooking paper. If you don’t want to make the design permanent, apply your chosen backing material to a heavy weight poster board and cut to size for each shelf and insert into the back of the bookcase.

Build a small device charging station

Pick up a small, basic DIY ledge shelf and cut some slits or drill holes in it for cords to run through. Mount on the wall above a powerpoint. No more cluttered countertops and what a great way to keep track of the family’s devices.
