Mudcloth from the Alameda Flea Market + an Ikea bench = my favorite Ikea hack yet! Head over to the blog for the tutorial. -Sara

Ikea hack 2

In this tutorial, bloggers Alice & Lois have taken a plain Ikea Skogsta wooden bench and transformed it with mudcloth upholstery into a customised piece. The Skogsta bench is no longer available at Ikea, but you could use the Norraker bench in white birch for a Scandinavian look. All you need for this DIY is foam, padding and a staple gun.

Putting together Lola's bedroom was so much fun, although mostly at the end after we tackled the painstaking reno stuff and got to bring in the finishing touches like these fun pillows by @festamsterdam. If you love the preppy colours and fun patterns of the pillows in this pic you're in luck because Avenue Lifestyle is giving away this super cute set to one lucky reader! Find out how they could be yours on the blog (follow the link in profile). Good luck! #giveaway #avenuelifestylestudio

Ikea hack 3

In this hack, the designers from Avenue Design Studio have transformed an Ikea Besta cabinet into a built-in reading nook and storage space. The highly-customised space was created using multiplex plywood and leather handles. You can find similar leather handles from Made Measure in Australia.
