Last time it was predicted Australia's eastern seaboard would get a darn good soaking, there was nothing but sunshine and blue skies, but this time the prediction is a lot darker and according to experts, a lot more likely to happen!
This weekend, parts of the east coast are set for a dark, gloomy and particularly wet first full week of winter, with predicted downpours meaning we're set to have the wettest weather in an many as two months!
Combine that with temperatures across NSW and other eastern cities taking a dive, meaning the wind chill factor will be up; this week is looking more and more fresh.
Forecasters are suggesting cities such as Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong will see around 20mm of rain, while a cold front approaching from the The Bight mean Victoria and Tassie will cop a nice breath of icy air. Perth and Brisbane will be laughing as they enjoy sunny skies through the week, til it, too, cracks by the weekend.
Time to invest in that umbrella!
