Step 1 Immerse tea bags in a cup of hot water. Allow to steep until tea is dark, then dip glove into tea. Wring out glove and allow to dry.
Step 2 Cut 1 finger from glove for the body. Push a small quantity of fibrefill into fingertip to form head. Thread needle with a piece of button thread and insert needle through knitted finger below stuffing; wrap thread tightly around the finger to shape head. Knot thread to secure, then trim end.
Step 3 Stuff the rest of the knitted finger with fibrefill to form the snowman’s body. Sew a gathering stitch around the bottom of body and pull thread up tightly to close knitted finger, tucking the loose ends inside.
Step 4 Copy or trace diagrams onto white paper; cut out for templates. Trace pattern for the base onto brown cardstock and cut out. Spray top of base with adhesive and sprinkle with mica flakes while the adhesive is still tacky. Hotglue base to bottom of snowman.
Step 5 Stitch eyes, using all 6 strands of black embroidery cotton. Knot 1 end of thread and insert first stitch from back of head and push needle through to front; pull knot through fabric and into head. Take a tiny stitch for 1 eye. Push needle partially back into head, then cross over the short distance between the eyes to stitch the second eye. Bring needle back out top of the head and tie off (knot will be covered by crown).
Step 6 Colour 2.5cm of 1 end of wooden toothpick using orange marker. Cut off this portion and add a small amount of hot glue to the cut end. While the glue is still hot, push the end into the snowman’s head for the nose. Reserve remainder of toothpick.
Step 7 Use paintbrush to apply powder blush onto snowman’s cheeks. Hot‑glue 4 silver seed beads down front of snowman’s body. Tie silver cord into a bow around his neck and trim ends.
Step 8 Use the spray adhesive to adhere book paper to brown cardstock with wrong sides together. Using crown template, trace crown onto book paper/cardstock and cut out. Use glue pen to apply a line of glue along bottom straight edge of printed side of crown, sprinkle glitter onto wet glue and allow to dry. Fit crown to snowman’s head and glue edges together. Hot-glue crown to head.
Step 9 Trim 2 x 2.5cm lengths from twig. Hot‑glue twigs to snowman’s neck to create arms.
Step 10 Print ‘Fa la la la’ onto cream cardstock, so words are about 4cm wide and 5-6mm tall. Cut out stripcontaining words. Wrap and glue one end of strip around cut end of reserved portion of toothpick. Use glue pen to apply glue around edges of strip; sprinkle glitter onto wet glue and allow to dry. Insert pointed end of toothpick into snowman’s body and secure with hot glue.
