Give your garden area added vertical appeal with hanging basket spheres. You can use trailing plants or, for objects with a difference, simply spray paint and hang them up empty!
Gather your supplies
• Galvanised beehive hanging baskets (2)
• Selection of plants
You’ll also need
Drop sheet; spray paint (we used Dulux Duramax spray paint in Gold); cable ties; wire snips; scissors; potting mix
Here’s how

Step 1 Remove chains and liners from hanging baskets. Place baskets on drop sheet and spray paint. Let dry.

Step 2 Place 1 basket on top of the other and secure edges together with cable ties, using at least 4 to secure around entire basket. Spray-paint cable ties in same colour and let dry.

Step 3 Using wire snips, remove 1 section of wire – this will give you access so you can plant it up later

Step 4 Using scissors, trim liner to fit base of basket. Insert and check fit and adjust if necessary. Part-fill liner with potting mix, plant up and backfill.
Step 5 Attach chain to top of basket and hang where desired.
