The must-see flower festival coming to Canberra this spring

A fusion of pop-culture and flowers.

Floriade flower festival is one of the largest floral events in Australia, and this year the iconic event has a ‘sounds of spring theme’ sure to tickle the fancy of every flower enthusiast who attends.

The premier flower festival takes place in Canberra’s Commonwealth Park from September 17 to October 16, and will focus on music including delivering “atmospheric instrumentals, classical and contemporary tunes.”

As well as food and performances, more than one million blooms will be on display during the festival!

There will be stalls for sampling the best local produce from growers in Canberra and the surrounding region, and children’s entertainment. Sunday afternoons include picnics and Jazz in the Park with Ice Tea Duo.

There will be photogrpahy workshops and a musical installation that invites participants to create their own musical compositions using unique digital instruments…. Plants!

Let’s not forget Floriade’s ticketed after-dark experience, NightFest, which includes a cabaret performance,a clockwork circus and lots of talented live acts.

NightFest runs from September 19 to October 2, when from 6.30pm – 10.30pm the park will be illuminated with colour and filled with roving entertainment, stalls and fantastic food.

Unwind with chilled out sounds, a massage and a glass of wine on RELAX nights on Thursday 29th September and Sunday 2nd October. Then, dial up your weekend a notch on INVIGORATE nights on Friday 30th September and Saturday 1st October and experience the electric and energetic party vibe.
