Moving your clothes from the washing machine to the dryer is a common process for many people. However, like most appliances, some items should never see the inside of a tumble dryer.
Here are four items that shouldn't be tumble dried.
1 – delicates
They’re called delicate for a reason. Instead of throwing them in the dryer with the rest of your clothing, keep your bras aside and lay them flat to dry.
2 – Swimmers
The heat from the dryer can damage the material your swimmers are made out of. Get the most out of your favourite swimwear and air dry them.
3 – Anything that warns against tumble drying
This is a no-brainer. If a garment warns against tumble-drying, it’s a good idea to follow that advice. You’ll be glad you did. Not only will your clothes keep their shape, they will last longer too.
4 – Anything with embellishments
Think sequins, bling and embroidery. Putting these in the dryer can damage or melt them. The easiest way to try these items is by hanging them up.
