FruChocs are a South Australian confectionery of chocolate-coated peaches and apricots, a local treat so beloved by the Adelaide people that there was even an official FruChoc Appreciation Day on August 23 this year.
However, the good folk at Big Shed Brewing Co, decided merely eating FruChoc wasn’t enough. Thus, the BruChoc was born.
BruChoc is a FruChoc-flavoured beer and, although it was originally only available in South Australia when it was released in August, it has experienced such success that the sweet beer will now be available for purchase in New South Wales and Western Australia as well, just check the store listing in the Facebook page.
In fact, BruChoc proved to be so popular that the first batch of BruChoc sold out in just 13 minutes.
“Bruchoc went crazy last time, so we knew we had to make it again,” Big Shed’s Craig Harris told The Advertiser. “This will be the last batch before Christmas and before the opening of our new brewery.”
For those keen to try the dessert-like beverage, you can expect a rich chocolate flavor with peach and apricot notes. But you’ll have to get in quick if you want to get your hands on this quintessentially Adelaidean treat.
