Alcohol-free Dry July is just around the corner, and food delivery service Menulog has launched a limited-edition range of alcohol-scented candles to see you through the month.
In fact, recent studies have found that all you need to do to overcome cravings is to enjoy the smell for two minutes or more, and you’ll no longer want the food or drink you’re lusting after. So, these candles may well be a wise investment to ensure you make it through the month hangover free.
The scent-sational candles are available in five different flavours; mulled wine, champagne cocktail, scotch whiskey, espresso martini and pink apple cider – so there’s a scent to suit every taste and occasion.
Menulog has paired each of the candles with the perfect meal, which can be ordered via the app, and customers who order one of those meals can get the paired candle for free!
The mulled wine candle has been paired with a scotch fillet steak from Godfathers Pizza Café in Yarraville, Victoria.
The champagne cocktail candle has been paired with spicy prawn and chorizo traditional style pizza from Manoosh Pizzeria in Enmore, NSW.
The scotch whiskey candle has been paired with barbecued chicken wings from Base and Burger in Mount Annan, NSW.
The espresso martini candle has been paired with sticky date pudding from la Porchetta in North Melbourne, VIC.
The pink apple cider candle has been paired with smokey BBQ pork pizza from Pizza Miltonia in Milton, QLD.
The candles are available exclusively via the app from July 1 to 31, while stocks last.
