How to eat for free at this Sydney cafe

Left your wallet at home? That’s not a problem at the pop-up Uncle Tobys Oats Energy Exchange café this week, where you can use your steps to pay for your brekky.

Simply show up with your smart phone or step tracker at Chippendale café Concrete Jungle from Tuesday 28 August until Thursday 30 August, and you can eat breakfast for free.

All you need to do to get your hands on free feed is show your step count from the previous day via your smartphone or step tracker. Alternatively, you can sign an energy pledge for the steps you intend to do.

Items on the menu cost between 3,000 and 10,000 steps, and every meal comes with a free coffee.

Take your pick from items such as savoury turmeric porridge with poached egg and kale, blue algae smoothie bowl and mixed berry hotcake.  

The café will be open from 8am to 2.30pm daily at Concrete Jungle, 58 Kensington Street, Chippendale.
