You can now get your coffee served in a doughnut

Or your hot chocolate!

From cronuts and cupcakes to macarons and designer milkshakes, the food industry is not immune to an Instagrammable food moment. And in case you thought things hadn’t gone far enough, you can now have your morning caffeine hit served in a doughnut.

That’s right, your morning coffee or hot chocolate isn’t served with a doughnut, it’s served in the doughnut.

Brought to you by the creative folk at Kenilworth Country Bakery in Kenilworth, Queensland, the #CoffeeInADonut has gone viral.

A sturdy cinnamon doughnut is hollowed out and lined with Nutella, then filled to the brim with your choice of coffee or hot chocolate, then dusted with chocolate to top it off.

But you’ll have to time it just right if you want to try this local delicacy, as the café is only open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 6am to 3pm.

As it happens, Kenilworth Country Bakery is also home of the 1kg Donut Challenge, whereby you test your gastronomic resolve by downing a giant 1kg doughnut.

That said, should you find yourself fancying a doughnut sans coffee, the bakery has an impressive selection to suit every taste!
