There are normally only three options to choose from: chocolate, caramel or white. But for a limited time only, a new cake will be stocked on the shelves of the supermarket giant.
Every now and then Woolworths will drop a limited edition cake. In previous years, these seasonal launches have included Mint Cookies and Cream, Caramelised White Chocolate and a tasty Rocky Road. But this year, let’s just say it’s a lucky day for the Geminis.
The highly-anticipated cake to grace many Aussie tables in the weeks to come is none other than a birthday cake. The 600g dessert is housed in the usual plastic container with a transparent lid and retails for $6.80.
Woolies describes the new treat as a “rainbow sprinkle vanilla mud cake topped with white chocolate ganache, sprinkles, cookie pieces and a white chocolate drizzle”.
It’s set to roll out in stores across all states and territories starting this Wednesday, May 31 – but eager cake lovers have already made sightings and shared pictures across social media.
Fans have flocked to Facebook to comment and declare their excitement for the new product.
“I’ll have to try hunt one of these down while I’m here, we never get the limited ones up north,” one fan wrote on Facebook.
“Cant wait to try this,” chimed in a second.
