Here are five outdoor play equipment ideas the kids are sure to love!
See-Saw - Margery Daw
Think back to when you were a child. What was one of your favourite pieces of play equipment? A see-saw, perhaps? But not just the traditional up and down type – we’re talking about the type that also rotates 360 degrees! Weeeee! The beauty of the see-saw is that it can be easily moved around. Generally made from strong, durable powder coated galvanised steel, they’re built to last and provide hours of entertainment!

Swing away or just relax on a net swing. Most are made using strong, woven polyester ropes and can be fitted in your own existing play area. Net swings can vary in maximum weight load and age suitability, so check with the manufacturer prior to purchase.
Remember back in the day, when you had to ask your parents to take you to the park so you could have a go on the climbing net! Not these days. Most are very easy to install, constructed from UV stable polyethylene rope and can be easily installed in any play area.
Timber swing set
There’s nothing quite liberating as swinging on a good old swing, regardless of age. It’s a great addition to the backyard for the kids and are generally easy to attach to an existing swing set or swing beam. Swing sets can come in a variety of materials such as timber, plastic or rubber.
A child’s backyard is not complete without a tyre swing, according to them, anyway! Tyre swings come in either plastic or are made from recycled tyres and can be easily attached to an existing swing beam. Maximum weight may vary, so check with the manufacturer prior to purchase.
