However, these streaming services are largely aimed at adults, and as such, the range of child-friendly content isn’t quite as broad as some may like. Fortunately, Disney has identified that gap in the market and filled it with Disney+.
Disney’s very own streaming service is set to be available in Australia and New Zealand by the end of November, 2019, around the same time it will become available in the US, Canada and the Netherlands. Furthermore, Disney+ is set to be the cheapest streaming service in Australia, priced at just $8.99 per month of $90 for a full year.
Disney+ will showcase the studio’s large catalogue of films, including Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars franchises, and thanks to Disney’s recent acquisition of 20th Century Fox, you can also expect to see the Simpsons. And although Disney content is currently available on Stan, it’s believed that content sharing deal will soon end once Disney+ is live.
The service will be available on iOS, Apple TV, Android TV, Playstation, Xbox and Chromecast, and is set to be the best family-friendly streaming service yet!
