There are two types of people in this world: ones who enjoy setting up their iron in front of the television and working through a basket, and ones who despise it.
If you’re part of the latter group, these tips are for you.
Six ways to cut your ironing time in half
Place aluminium foil under your ironing board cover
This simple hack means you don’t have to iron both sides of your clothes. Watch the short video below.
Let the creases fall out
If possible, dry your clothes outside placing the peg at the bottom of the garment to help the creases fall out.
Mix a teaspoon of lavender in a litre of water. Spray your wrinkled clothes before wearing and the creases should vanish.
Alter your wash cycle
Choosing a lower temperature and slower spin cycle help keeps creases to a minimum. Remove your washing and give it a shake as soon as the cycle is finished.
Don’t overfill your machine
Put simply, overfilling your machine means more creases.
Think about what you are buying
Cut down your ironing time by having fewer clothes that actually need ironing. When shopping, look for low-maintenance fabrics such as cotton or wool.
