Creative Gourmet mixed berries have been recalled following a hepatitis A scare.
Entyce Food Ingredients said a "relatively small batch" of berries, sold at in independent supermarkets across Australia, including IGA, Foodworks, Foodland, SPAR and Supabarn have been taken off the shelves as a precaution.
Anyone who has bought a 300g packet of the berries, with a best-before date before January 15, 2021, and batch number PP150118 should return it immediately to the supermarket for a refund.
Victoria Health said: "As of 2 June 2017, Australian health authorities have identified four cases of hepatitis A infection that were acquired in Australia in 2017 and involve the affected strain of hepatitis A virus."
Entyce Food Ingredients said in a statement on their website: "Consumers should be confident that the recalled batch of Creative Gourmet Mixed Berries 300g is an isolated one that is no longer available on supermarket shelves.”
