Run your fingers across it for a delightful cacophony. It makes an intriguingly different door wreath, too.
Gather your supplies
Large picture frame without glass (this one is 45 x 60cm); acrylic craft paint in desired colour (optional); paintbrush (optional); patterned ribbon in desired widths and lengths; jingle bells in desired sizes and colours; 2 small pieces of wood, the same width as frame and about 10cm long; wood glue; craft glue; clip-style clothes peg; double-sided tape
Step 1 Prepare the picture frame as desired, painting and distressing the frame or leaving it as purchased.
Step 2 Glue the 2 small pieces of wood at the top and bottom of the frame. (This will allow the bells to hang freely if mounted close to a wall.)
Step 3 Lay frame on a flat surface. Choose the jingle bells and arrange them inside frame at random lengths. Cut patterned ribbon to fit the chosen lengths. Slide ribbon through the hole at top of each bell and pull ribbon up about 5cm. Glue ribbon end in place at the back, securing with a clothes peg until dry.
Step 4 Secure ribbons with double-sided tape to back side of frame, adjusting as needed. Hang in a window or on a wall.
