Ingredients
2 cups leftover sausage casserole
8 slices thick white bread
30g butter, at room temperature
1 cup grated cheese
Method

Preheat jaffle iron.

Remove sausage pieces from casserole and thinly slice. Stir through casserole gravy and transfer to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high in 30-second bursts, stirring, until mixture boils.

Spread one side of each bread slice with butter. Top unbuttered side with hot casserole and cheese. Sandwich together with remaining slices, butter facing out.

Cook in a hot jaffle iron until golden, crisp and cheese has melted.
