Ingredients
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup butter, melted
⅔ cup light-colour corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
¼ cup milk
¼ cup rum or milk
Assorted dippers (such as apple or pear slices, strawberries, banana pieces, cubed angel food cake, and/or cubed pound cake)
Method

In a 3-4L slow cooker stir together the first five ingredients (sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and vanilla).

Cover and cook on low for one to two hours. Whisk in milk and rum until smooth. (You may notice some browned specks from the edges.)

Serve immediately or keep warm, covered, on warm or low up to 2 hours, stirring
occasionally to keep from scorching. Serve fondue with dippers.
