A group of incredible crafters are knitting for an excellent cause.

The group, Blankets For Baby Rhinos, has made a huge difference crocheting and knitting blankets for orphaned baby animals in need.

Blankets for Baby Rhinos is a wildlife conservation craft group that was founded in November 2016 by Sue Brown, a rhino conservationist and Elisa Best, a veterinary surgeon.

While the group provides blankets to organizations like The Rhino Orphanage, who rescue and rehabilitate baby rhinos who have lost their mothers, they aren't the only animals to receive these beautiful blankets.

According to the group, "We make crochet and knitted blankets for a variety of orphaned baby wildlife animals, including but not limited to rhinos, elephants, chimpanzees, baboons, vervet monkeys. We also make crochet and knitted toys that act as a surrogate mother to our primate babies."

Made New Years resolutions to learn to knit, crochet etc. well there's an organization called "Blankets for Rhinos" what better inspiration to get started when you can help create these!!! 🧣🦏🐘 (And yes, I know this is a elephant!) #blanketsforrhinos #ifilearntoknit
Save Elephant Foundation

In December last year, the group donated much-needed blankets to Save Elephant Foundation to help keep a group of baby elephants warm during a cold front in Southeast Asia.

How can you help?

The first step is the join their Facebook group. Once approved, crafters have been asked to donate blankets or squares that can be turned into blankets.
