Have your camping plans fallen through because of bad weather or an unexpected national park closure? Before you start unloading the car and packing all your gear back into storage, how about taking your holiday to your backyard?

Pick up a tent, set up some chairs, and switch on some lanterns to transport your backyard into an exclusive campsite for you and your family. There's less to plan, no long car rides, but most importantly, the kids will love the experience.

When it comes to the food, we have covered all bases. Whether you're seated around a table or a campfire, mealtimes are a fun part of camping. Although it's quick and easy to open a few cans of soup and call it a day, how about spicing things up a little? From Aussie favourites like damper to classics like grilled corn, here are our top 15 meals to cook in the great outdoors and your backyard.
