The bargain supermarket giant will be selling the Mistral Thermocooker for just $299 - a fraction of the cost of a top-of-the-line $2269 Thermomix.
The new gadget is sure to start a stampede when it’s released in stores on September 7, with people desperate to get their hands on one.
Says Aldi Lovers Australia: ‘STOP THE PRESS. Look what @mouths_of_mums have spotted. A mistral thermo cooker coming 7 September (AKA much cheaper version of the $2k+ Thermomix). Prepare for chaos!’
Aldi’s bargain version comes with a two-litre stainless steel bowl, 10 different speeds, a 1000 watt heating power, a 800 watt motor as well as 10 different speeds. It also has a chopping blade, a steamer unit and mixing tool included.
Many fans have already given the bargain Mistral Thermocooker the big thumbs up.
Said one: ‘Wow. I bought one of these years ago when Big W had them and I still can't break it. Such a great alternative, only difference is it doesn't have built in scales and has 2 blades but is still amazing for the price.’
Added another: ‘Aldi for the win again!’ Said a third: ‘Holy moly girls, looks like we’ll be lining up again!! 😱’
