Simple is always best
Kids love the simple things. Bear in mind sometimes kids can be more drawn to the pretty wrapping paper and ribbons the gift you bought them came in, so simplicity is a must (and affordability if it comes to that!).
Try something cute and simple like these adorable ice-cream shaped highlighter pens. Super fun for school!
Gift wrapping is a must
When you've decided on the gift for the child, if there is an option for gift wrapping think about taking it. Children love to unwrap presents and usually, the more over-the-top the paper's print is and elaborately it's decorated, the better.
And don't forget ribbon! Some of our favourites like the below snazzy one are right here!
Be sure to buy an age appropriate gift
It can be tempting to get your little angel something they'll grow into or grow into liking down the track before their time, but keeping it age-appropriate is a safer bet. Plus, it guarantees your child will like the gift you got them rather than simply tossing it aside and forgetting about it. For example, a 4-year-old is not going to be able to play with a kite that is recommended for a 6-8 year old, so bear that in mind.
Super fun summertime toys like a good water pistol is definitely fun, but best for kids who're a little older.
Think outside the box
Not everything has to have a special or well thought-out meaning, sometimes gifts can just be fun and that's OK. Like a kite! When was the last time they (or you?!) flew one of those?
